CRM50 Concrete Repair Mortar

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

  1. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of any loose material or contaminants that are likely to affect adhesion.
  2. Prime the surface with 1 – part CRS 3000 Modifier Liquid and 2 – parts clean water.
  3. Allow primer coat to dry. (Drying time range – approximately 10 minutes in summertime weather – longer in wintertime conditions).
  4. Mix a slurry blend of CRM 50 and water and apply using a paintbrush to coat the area to be filled with CRM 50. The slurry coat must remain “damp” and not dry during application of CRM 50. Mix slurry in a separate container and only in sufficient quantity to cover the affected area.
  5. Mix in a 20 litre plastic pail 20kg of CRM 50 with minimum 2.8 litres – maximum 3.2 litres of clean water depending on application to achieve a workable plastic state consistency for a concrete surface level screed or patching mortar or more viscose core fill grout. Blend with a paddle mixer attachment to a suitable electric power drill. DO NOT HAND MIX.
  6. Trowel or screed CRM 50 mix over the affected area and initial finish with a steel float so as to achieve a smooth closed surface.
  7. If the concrete slab is to be resurfaced with a spray-on or trowelled coating then broom the CRM 50 surface to produce a texture finish after it has hardened sufficiently to do so.
  8. Cure hardened finished CRM 50 after completion of the work with a primer coat comprising of 1 part CRS 3000 Modifier liquid and 2 parts clean water.
  9. Read Materials Safety data Advice (MSDS) and instructions printed on product bags or pails for proper and workmanlike use and method of application in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations.
