Answer: Designer Concrete is an acrylic, modified cementicious
coating designed to achieve a strong and durable textured finish, transforming
the surface into a coloured, patterned surface without the cost and fuss
of removal and replacement of the existing plain concrete.
Question: How thick is the product?
Answer: Approximately two (2) to three (3) mm.
Question: Does it wear or peel off?
Answer: No, it is 2-3 times harder wearing than standard
concrete.
Question: Is there a warranty or guarantee on the product?
Answer: Yes, seven years on the product and seven years
on the workmanship.
Question: Is it slippery?
Answer: No, it has passed the Australian Standard when
wet for slip resistance when a textured finish has been applied.
Question: How long does it take to do a job?
Answer: Depending on the weather and the size of the job,
two to three days.
Question: Can Designer Concrete be applied indoors?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Does Designer Concrete fade?
Answer: No, the colour doesn't fade but the sealer will
breakdown over a period of time.
Question: Do you need to reseal Designer Concrete?
Answer: It is not compulsory to reseal. However, it does
increase the cleanability and enhances the colour.
Question: If I would like to have my Designer Concrete
resealed, how often should the sealer be reapplied?
Answer: 1 (one) to 3 (three) years depending on usage and
exposure to the sun.
Question: Can Designer Concrete go over Pebblecrete?
Answer: Yes.
Question: How many colours are there?
Answer: 22 Standard Colours and you can mix and match.
Question: How many patterns are there to choose from?
Answer: 28 Standard patterns plus your unlimited imagination.
Question: Are there different finishes?
Answer: Yes, they are Textured Spray, Trowelled Finish
and Flood Finish.
Question: Does it crack or can it be applied over cracks?
Answer: Designer Concrete is only as sound as the concrete
it is applied to. The cracks can be filled with a two-part epoxy, and then
Designer Concrete applied over the top.
Question: Do you guarantee crack repairs?
Answer: No, existing or occurring cracks in the concrete
are not guaranteed.
Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: This can vary dramatically depending on the size
of the job and the condition of the concrete.
Question: Does Designer Concrete install the product?
Answer: No. Designer Concrete has preferred applicators
that are licensed to install the product. INSIST ON A DESGINER CONCRETE PREFERRED
APPLICATOR.
Question: How do I keep my Designer Concrete pavement
clean?
Answer: Use Decorative Driveway Cleaner or a detergent
based cleaning product that does not contain any alcohol or solvents.
Question: How do I remove tyre marks from my Designer
Concrete surface?
Answer: Tyre Mark Remover is available in 2 litre and 10
litre containers.
