DESCRIPTION:

PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) is a high performance decorative colour render purpose designed for reinforced concrete pool finishes. PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) is the latest development in functional polymer modified cement based pool render products. It is factory batched, blended and bagged in 20kg plastic lined paper sacks and is made in Australia.

RECOMMENDED USE:

PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) is tested suitable as a decorative interior renders finish for reinforced concrete swimming pools and spas or landscaped garden ponds and water features. PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) will bond to most any prepared hard state masonry surfaces.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) provides an aesthetically distinctive abrasion resistant and slip resistant decorative colour finish in reinforced concrete swimming pools. The product is premixed for quality assurance and colour batch consistency. User-friendly workability makes for easy application by competent experienced tradespersons. Excellent compressive strength enhances durability and abrasion resistance. Mix-design additives reduce porosity and permeability in the finished work for improved durability and low maintenance.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE:

Store in the original sealed packaging in dry weatherproof environment. Shelf life of 6 – 12 months may be expected depending upon prevailing climate conditions.

PERFORMANCE DATA:

PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) shall develop normal 28-day compressive strength. Until hard-set has occurred, freshly finished surfaces must be protected from rain or damage from other sources. In windy conditions and on days of low humidity combined with high ambient temperatures, special precautions must be taken during product placement and finishing to control drying shrinkage.

Acrylic polymerisation of the cement content reduces porosity and permeability to reduce transmission of alkaline salts to the surface of the finished work and increase adhesion, cohesion, shear and flexural strength for durability and lower maintenance.

SLIP RESISTANCE – SKID RESISTANCE:

PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) when mixed and worked and finished in a proper and competent manner produces a low risk slip resistant and skid resistant surface required by AS/NZS 3661.1: 1993 and AS 4049.2: 1994.

ABRASION RESISTANCE:

Very high abrasion resistance – mean index range of 0.2 – 0.3 when tested to AS/NZS 4456.9 – 1997.

ESTIMATING PRODUCT COVERAGE:

One 20kg bag of PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) mixed with maximum 3 litres of clean water will cover approximately 1.25m2 x 8mm thickness of properly prepared concrete pool surface. An average sized pool with tile band (9m x 4m x 1.5m) will require 55 – 60 (20kg) bags of PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) to ensure sufficient and uniform coverage. PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) can be applied up to the cope of the pool so as to eliminate the need and/or expense of a tile band. PR 300 is not practical for use on low-grade ‘roll-over’ copes that normally require over 3mm aggregate finishes to produce a satisfactory outcome.

PR 300 (& Coober Pedy range) standard colour range comprises of nine designer colours. The product must be completely and thoroughly mixed before application and finished according to recognised proper and workmanlike practices for interior pool surfaces. Light acid-wash to clean.
